About your maternity session

Maternity / Pregnancy photography sessions can take place in my private studio in Box Hill, Sydney NSW for a more intimate vibe or outdoors connecting to the earth in the incredible golden sunrise or sunset light. Choose which is more organic to you and you will feel most comfortable. Family can be included in outdoor sessions but feel studio is more intimate and reserved for taking a moment for yourself and celebrating your beautiful body.

You can certainly show up and I can do all the styling for you which is usually the norm as I live for this!

Or I can help style your family with some gentle guidance.

All outdoor sessions are held either one hour prior to sunset or the hour after sunrise, which is referred to as golden hour. Golden hour is the most flattering light and has the most gorgeous tones to photograph that will compliment skin tones.

For most beach sessions I recommend sunrise as there are less people around but most importantly for sun placement as we are on the East coast. I do have one beach I use that is very secluded that is perfect for an ‘earlier than sunset’ session - helps with bed times in summer, but of course we will have some locals join us on the sand here and there. I do not shoot at beaches/parks on weekends as they are simply too busy. Plenty of opportunities before & after school/work or take the day off and make it a family day! Beach sessions do incur an additional $100 fee for additional travel/time so please consider this. I have some incredible outdoor locations, one pictured below that is private but spacious which suits free spirited toddlers as well.

After we have completed your booking we will dive into location options, whether that is my local park or a beach.
